The goal of the
Gay-Straight Music Alliance is to create a welcoming environment and
industry support for all music creators regardless of sexual
orientation or gender identity.
The
GSMA joins together lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and their
straight allies to educate the music community, facilitate activism and
participate in campaigns that raise LGBTS awareness thru song.

The GMSA is helping host the LGBT Music Fest / Nashville. The Festival is open to Performing, Non Performing, Industry or their fans this February 13, 14 &15, 2014 in the Music Row vicinity of Music City, USA.
Performers
and songwriters will take the stage from Thursday-Saturday, noon to
midnight at the Music Row Best Western. Music creators can introduce
their songs by performing scheduled.
There
are two networking parties during the 3 day event. A Pre Fest STIR
February13 (Thursday) 5 PM till and a informal costume "Valentines
Carnival" Friday night from 6 p.m.-midnight.
Attendees
can also receive hands-on advice on topics such as Career Critique,
Products Critique, Recording, Publishing, Plugging, Legal, Records,
Duplication, Distribution, Radio, Video, Broadcasting, Shop, Management,
Promotions,
Publicity. Productions... The Independent Music Association will host
"Speak To A Pro". LBGT educational partners will be on hand for one on
one mentoring sessions to
answer
your questions about the "Music as a Business." Critique, Learning and
Networking areas will be set up from Noon-6 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
The 'LGTB Music Fest' is an exciting networking mixer and
career-building opportunity for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender
artists and their straight allies from all levels of the music industry. Community
volunteers will donate their time and resources to make this possible.
